The Gilead Room @ Yale University Art Gallery
In 1930, Yale purchased the parlor room of The Rowley House (circa 1770 from Gilead, Connecticut) intending to preserve the room in the Old Yale Art Gallery. The Great Depression hit and the room was packed away in storage until 2007. Marshall Plastering was brought onto the restoration team and installed the antique finished wood lath plaster on the walls. The room now stands at the Yale University Art Gallery on permanent display.
Enjoy the warm sunshine!
